David Ng

David has over 30 years of experience in Information Technology, Infocomm, and Cybersecurity. He leads the Technology Information Security Office at OCBC Bank, with oversight of subsidiaries across the OCBC Group. He is responsible for formulating the cybersecurity strategy, as well as developing and implementing a cyber defence roadmap to address emerging cyber risks and threats.

Today, David is one of the longest-serving members of the Association of Banks in Singapore’s Standing Committee on Cybersecurity. He plays a leading role in collaborating with other industry participants and key government agencies, such as the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore. In 2021, David was conferred the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Fellow Award in Technology, in recognition of his professional mastery, thought leadership, and commitment to industry development.In 2023, David played an instrumental role in securing a CSA Cybersecurity Certification – Cyber Trust Mark (Advocate) for OCBC’s Critical Information Infrastructure (CII). This certification signifies that the cyber and IT security controls for OCBC’s CII are aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 – an international standard for managing information security.

Prior to joining the Bank, David served as Director of the IT Security Division at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). During his tenure, he represented MAS in key panels and working groups, including the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) G10 Group of Computer Experts on Security Issues.
